District 1 commander appoints new services officer

OKINAWA CITY , Japan (June 20 , 2007) -- VFW Pacific Areas, District 1 Commander Stan Stewart has appointed Gary Harper to assume duties of the District Services Officer following the death of lifetime member Larry Alsop.

Harper is also the chaplain for District 1 as well as the services officer and chaplain for VFW Post 11435.
